The story behind the idea
God provides the seed, but now it's been put in your hand, but it's still a bunch of seed. It hasn't grown, it hasn't produced after its kind, and it hasn't brought about abundance, but you're holding it. What you have in your hand is an incredible amount of stored up potential for great things.
What stands out
Part of it may be getting other people to a place of growth. I want my children to know that if they work hard and they trust in God and things aren't where they want them to be now, better is coming.
Why it matters
Here are people in your life who want to lead you and help you.
A faithful way forward
Or you go, I think the bag of seed has to do with nurturing relationships. There's just not the right kind of growth there in my marriage or home or among God's people, and I need to put in the hard work. Or this has to do with changing the way I'm planning the future of my life.
Put it into practice
You don't know, again, verse six, whether morning or evening seed will succeed, or both. If you're staring at some spiritual project, some desperate needed change, and it's right there in your hands, and what you're looking for is certainty, then you don't really understand God.
Take the idea with you.
