The "Excel Still More" Podcast
Weekly strategies and advice for Christians to excel in life.
Welcome to the Excel Still More podcast page!Â
I’m Kris Emerson, the host of the "ESM" program. I’ve been blessed with 27 years of marriage and four wonderful kids (ages 23, 21,13, and 11). For the past 25 years, I’ve been preaching full-time, primarily in Southeast and East Texas. Currently, I live and preach in Lindale, TX. My ministry and life journey has provided experience in raising a family, walking with God, and helping others deepen their faith.
I have a deep passion for scripture. The word of God provides us with all we need to live righteously in this present age. I have always focused on providing practical applications from the text, giving us a vision of how to live out the word daily. At the same time, I enjoy reading self-improvement books and was searching for a medium to blend powerful secular ideas with spiritual truths. The product of that effort is the Excel Still More podcast.Â
Excel Still More was created to be concise yet impactful. These 20-minute episodes are designed to give you an actionable idea rooted in Scripture that you can immediately apply to your life. It is about making steady, intentional progress every day in the name of Christ, and experiencing exponential growth in your walk with God.Â
I hope you find the program encouraging and worth sharing with friends. Whatever you choose to do today, let it be in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And always remember to excel still more!

The Excel Still More podcast is designed to help Christians excel in their faith, their relationships, and really every part of their lives. If you are interested in growth in your faith, this is the show for you. If you want to see yourself reach greater heights, achieve powerful spiritual goals, and be a better servant of Christ, we are here to help. Each episode introduces a proven principle for achieving more. Then we show how the Word of God amplifies the idea. Finally, each episode will leave you with at least one practical project so you can put these tools into action today! Thanks for joining! Job's Friends Did Some Things Right:
1. They Showed Up
2. They Entered Into His Grief
3. They Sat In Silence
4. They Believed Strongly In God
5. They Spoke What They Believed
Eliphas was influenced by Experience
Bildad by Tradition. Zophar by Certainty.Â
So, they made some prideful mistakes:
1. They assumed they knew why Job was suffering
2. They turned principles into absolute truths
3. They stopped listening
4. Their accusations became harsher
5. They lacked compassion
6. They spoke for God without understanding God
