The story behind the idea
I mean, never saw them coming, would have never been an episode, and then something happens or someone reaches out and I get super intrigued and share it with you. My original intent this week was to revisit how to win friends and influence people with at least one more part, and I still feel confident that that will happen around the new year. The other day I get a text with a link from a really good friend of mine, Ryan Goodwin.

Why it matters
You might be like, God is, God can say those things, but God doesn't speak to you directly in the moment as it is in real time. He speaks to you through scripture and he sets up things like humility and openness, like Jesus demonstrated. Is there anyone else that you could sit and listen to if you needed a bit of redirection? You might say, well, someone over me, an authority figure that I'm under, maybe my dad or an elder or someone I respect who's older than me.
A faithful way forward
How many parents want to see their kids more involved in the family? How many of us would love to see our teen speak up more at the table? Have you been honest with them that their voice matters? That they are a significant factor, and that you could use their help?
Put it into practice
How do I get them to be a more faithful Christian, to love and serve Jesus better?
