The story behind the idea

If you are already a Christian, why would he still be involved? For what reason would God still be doing things in and around your life if you have accessed the grace of God?

What stands out

God is involved in your life, certainly teaching you through scripture, but working his will all around you so that you can carry out his good works. Ephesians chapter 2, verses 8 through 10, we're saved by grace through faith, not as a result of works, but now that we are his saved people, his workmanship, it is now his will that we carry out good works for him. Titus 2 talks about God's grace coming, being introduced into our lives.

Why it matters

One is that we need to go out of our way to help people, just as God commands. Secondly, we must have a good attitude when doing it.

A faithful way forward

He does this to Jonah not as a cruel act, uh, but to show him that it hurts when something you love disappears. God was showing him that that's that's exactly how I felt about the Nineveh, even though they were evil people. We all want God at work in our lives, training us through the giving of blessings, like the tree.

Put it into practice

The apostle Paul just wanted to carry out God's will and save people. Whatever room he walked in, he thought, how can I adjust myself like Jesus did, like God is telling me to do, so that I can somehow connect the will of God to other people. Paul wanted to be in heaven and glory just like everybody else, but he says in the book of Philippians he was hard-pressed because to stay would mean what?
