The story behind the idea
I love all of them, but I want to begin by reading the lyrics from a song. It was not my intent today to come in and record the story of my friend Brent's conversion to Christ from last week, but now I will share that story with you. Again, what motivated me to do that is on the way in today I was listening to the radio a song called Left It in the River by Jamie McDonald.
What stands out
I spent about a day just working through some of the most important and prominent concepts of water and salvation, and how they were temporary before, and how that's changed in Christ.
Why it matters
He's a good student, he's got a great heart, he wants to do what's right.
A faithful way forward
In the case of the flood, all of the sin and wickedness was washed away and the world was clean, but that was temporary, has wickedness filled the earth again? With Israel, they were freed from Egyptian bondage, set to be just them and God in prosperity, but it wasn't too many years before their sin had enslaved them again. Of course Naaman, while restored in flesh, I'm pretty sure Naaman has died since then.
Put it into practice
There's some forest there that separates the water from the park, and there were lots of people at the park. We finally found a little animal trail that got down to the water, and we stepped over some logs and debris, and it was kind of muddy. We sank up to about our calves as we were walking out there.
Take the idea with you.
