The story behind the idea

Number one, resetting the heart, returning to your first love. If love and passion for God are something that have been missing in your life, we looked at Bible passages, a few thought questions, and some practical exercises to help. If you ask for the email, it will be there as well.

What stands out

Let's say you're at a church of a certain number where you need to invite 20 people over per month to get it done by the end of the year.

Why it matters

Question three, how can your life change for the better if you stop waiting? This is where you just get to take a minute and envision that next level we talked about a moment ago. What if you did build the ladder and just got on it and went to the next level?

A faithful way forward

I think you can probably come up with your own things, but establish one tech-free period each day for conversation and connection. I mean, chances are a lot of families are going to say, we need to pray together more, we need to talk about the day and how we reflected Jesus, or we need to read scripture. We're all on our cell phones or watching our televisions or staring at our laptops.

Put it into practice

Number one, memorize one scripture that speaks directly to faith over your fear. Something, something Jesus said, something Jesus taught, something that speaks to the illness or the mistreatment by others or whatever it is that's got you. Can you grab a verse, write it down somewhere, put it on your phone, on your notes, put it on your lock screen, keep it close, lean on it. Exercise number two, connect with someone who is or has overcome this fear in the past.

Think about it

Take the idea with you.
