The story behind the idea
Our worship must center on God the Father and what he has provided through Jesus, God the Son as the Lamb that takes away sins, and God the Spirit, who is sent to give us all that we need to know to be faithful. Can you see how maybe we've missed that over the years?
What stands out
Number two, and born naturally out of this, false worship is what I want to give. We approach God on our terms as far as we want to go and what we want to offer.
Why it matters
Worship and a big part of the way we worship every day is to demonstrate how much we love God by the way we care about other people.
A faithful way forward
False worship is what I want to give, faithful worship is what God desires. False worship is about chasing a feeling, but true worship is based on truth, and that produces a feeling. False worship is detached from emotion, the opposite problem, but true worship engages the whole heart.
Put it into practice
He's beyond anything you can think or describe or define. Just the very thought of God ought to put us in a state of wonder and amazement and awe. You get to talk to him and he personally knows you and loves you.
