See the people in front of you

It will be my first time to be with that church, and I'm really excited about it. On Friday night, March the 4th, and Saturday night, March the 5th at 7 p.m., we will focus heavily on self-evaluation, surrendering ourselves completely to God so that God can prepare us to carry out his good work.

And then if the Lord blesses us, we will meet at 9 30 and 10 30 Sunday morning and also at 5 p.m. to bring together three chapters from the ministry of Jesus to help us engage in missions of mercy.

What gets in the way

So again, if any of that is of interest to you or someone that you care about who lives in the area, just Google Brandon Church of Christ and come on out and worship God with us. And one more thing about that trip that connects to our principal today.

If everything goes as planned, on Monday morning, March the 7th, I'll get to do the eight-minute chapel talk at the Florida College campus.

A more loving response

The people of God never even had to draw a sword or a bow. That very night God sent an angel who killed one hundred and eighty five thousand Assyrian soldiers before daybreak.

Rabshaka, if he survived, and the rest of them ran home and told Sennacherib, whose fate was also sealed, because he was killed by his own men shortly after.

Practice this with others

Is it one particular person in your life who seeks, like the Russian judge, to tear you down with lies or things that are irrelevant in Jesus? Or maybe, just maybe, the Rhabshaka telling you that you are not enough in your life is you.

Having faith in the Lord means trusting him, but it also means disregarding, ignoring, and giving no weight to anyone who tries to convince you that giving up is your only option.

Think about it

Take the idea with you.
