Begin with what is true
This may look like a more regular daily Bible read than you had before as you grow in your knowledge of God. It may be shown in better worship habits or being more involved with your church.
It may just simply be a more vivid and impactful prayer life that every day finds yourself in the throne room of God.
See God more clearly
Because when the joy comes in the daily growth, knocking out another spiritual highlight or covering another chapter of Bible read, and you stop focusing on the results, well, I hope you've noticed the results come quickly, often, and amazingly. Alright, so that's kind of a recap of the whole year there, but I felt the need to tell you about Just Get Better because today's title almost looks like a slap in the face of that original title.
Because we're going to end this entire run by saying, Hold your ground.
Let faith shape the response
Well, if you can understand that, then I'm ready to talk to you about November and December. Between now and January the 6th, when we start season two, we've got Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and all kinds of events that are going to happen.
In the midst of all of that, there are a plethora of things that have the potential, if you're not ready to hold your ground, to diminish or even erase great strides you've made all year long.
Live it today
All these variables that cause most people's setbacks, the darkness, the cold, the kids off school, family in town, travel, Christmas expenses, whatever. In fact, if I could put a slightly different spin on this, as you go about holding your ground in your faith, friendships, fitness, and finances this last two months, don't think of it as standing in the face of some torrent storm, digging in your feet, trying so hard to hold.
Think about it more like if you look behind you, you see this long, steady incline that you've now climbed.
