The story behind the idea
I believe the ideas that we're going to talk about today in this next 20 minutes can help you create an incredible trajectory for this year and probably completely change your life. I believe in all of this so strongly that I'm presenting the content in a few different ways. First of all, the last day of 2023, I preached a sermon at the Lindell Church, probably titled The Four Square Christian.
What stands out
You cannot grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord if you are not learning to stretch and challenge and renovate your mentality. It's not about ranking religion over physical, it's about understanding that all of them subject themselves to God and serve the purpose of one another. The premise is this: if you're giving a lot of attention to one of them and only mild attention to a couple of them, and no attention to the other, then you're quite simply out of sorts.
Why it matters
Jesus was perfectly balanced and positioned to use every part of his life for God. I know that each person's situation is different all the way around this square, but that's why I've used so much time today digging in on the idea of conviction of giving energy to each and to all of it, regardless of your situation.
A faithful way forward
There are many things he wants to see happen in your life that you just can't even mentally grasp right now. I dare you this year to learn in a way that changes who you are. The third point in the balanced square of life is social.
Put it into practice
Then finally, consider applying all of this in daytight increments. Give purposeful attention to each one of these things, at least in some small measure every morning, so you can carry out those things throughout the day and watch what happens. Because as you know, days pass very quickly and build upon themselves.
