The story behind the idea

So we got a little bit of that worked in, and there's lots of layers to it we'll look at next week. Just remember, home is a safe place, all people deserve respect, and we tell the truth.

What stands out

This is where you attribute all glory to God for that person or thing.

Why it matters

God, you are the sustainer and provider of it all, and I've got some direction on how I can show that to you and others, even in this single day of life. Alright, so in the second half of the episode, I want to give you something new. You'll hear me talk a little bit more about your home as we move along, but there's a Bible.com reading plan that some of the ladies of our church share each morning.

A faithful way forward

Chances are you probably do that already, in some way, taking them out to eat or whatever it might be. When you praise God for your home and table and the means by which you can provide for it, and how you might use that, spend some time thinking about Jesus. I don't just mean how thankful you are that he has called you to his table, though that's a great place to start. I mean the way he opened up his own home for anyone to come and study and learn and eat.

Put it into practice

I can't even tell you how many times over the years that the word I've written down on level three gratitude was the word today. Thank you, God, for today, for another day to live and love and learn. To me, like a single day is the coolest gift that God gives us. You get this fresh restart, all of the great gifts that God gives us or the things that He wants to be developed, those things thrive and function within the confines of a single day.

Think about it
