The principle

And really just how the more I can focus in on what he has remade me to be and how he has put those opportunities in front of me, well, it just makes life easier. In fact, you see the episode title Life is Easier, which is the beginning of a quote by a gentleman who I quote fairly regularly, James Clear, that applies incredibly in your spiritual walk.

So I really hope you are approaching today's episode prepared for optimism and maybe some level of excitement of one simple idea that will make life easier.

The deeper lesson

And what I'm going to encourage you to do today is not to think about or list those things. One, there's nothing you can do, and probably nothing God will do to make those things happen.

And two, they will cause you to overlook, and I really believe this next thing about your life and mine, the things that are absolutely attainable for you, if you identified them as things you really want that are right there in front of you in this life.

What it changes

Life is easier when you have fewer and fewer regrets, but you need to take some time to evaluate your life and your efforts and find out what you really want. Okay, so this is totally unlike a preacher to do, but I'm going to go ahead and give you all three application points right now and then talk about them for the last several minutes.

From a private and somewhat thorough assessment of what matters most in my life, I came away with three conclusions.

Live it today

I don't know what your story is, and I hesitate to be specific because our journeys may be different, but I encourage you to pray a prayer of great thanksgiving to God for the things that make life easier that are already yours. There are other things you see around you that maybe right now aren't a part of your life, and you think, boy, life would be a lot easier if I had those things.

Maybe it is a little more income or a better job, or maybe you don't have good relationships with brothers or sisters in Christ, or maybe the biggest one of all, you're not in a saved state with the Lord, but it's right there near you.

Think about it

Take the idea with you.

  2. 02What Scripture or spiritual principle in this study most needs my attention?
