Recognize the pattern

That episode will dive into some of the content in Luke's sermon, where we explore this idea that beyond you holding yourself responsible to take the stairs, there is also this circle community idea that you want to tap into, and then we also need to look at God's part in all of that. Basically, sometimes God makes sure all of the escalators are broken so that the stairs is your only option, and we'll talk about why that is and how we can come to appreciate it.

The idea of taking the stairs is a willingness each day to choose to do things, even if you don't really want to do them, even if they don't give immediate results.

Why it matters

If that is the kind of person that I am, how many other opportunities am I passing right by? How many chances were there to be more active, to take care of myself, but I just took the easy road.

And if I had been the kind of person who was attentive to such a thing, would I be in better shape today?

Make a different choice

Is it being a better Bible student, a better husband or wife, or in better shape, whatever it is, it's okay to look out six months or a year and say, that's where I want to be. And then begin doing things, not random little things that you hope get you somewhere, but not so random little things that is taking you to that place where you want to be.

If you have trouble with that, with kind of picturing a better you so you'll know which way to go, don't be afraid to just picture someone else.

Think about it

Take the idea with you.
