The story behind the idea
In the name of the Lord Jesus, how do we fight these things or how do we build out a relationship with God that can face them when they come? Number one, and remember, he asked AI, pretend to be Satan, put together a plan to draw away young people. If I were the enemy, I wouldn't start with drugs or atheism or wild rebellion.
What stands out
If I were the enemy, I would not tell young people to hate God. Rather, I would simply make them too busy to think about him.
Why it matters
The scripture's so simple about living a peaceful, quiet life, tending to your relationships, working hard, resting well, and now there are just so many little microtransactions in between.
A faithful way forward
Beneath this seemingly positive encouragement lies a dangerous deception. The idea that our feelings should be our guide, that personal happiness outranks holiness, and that self-discipline is the enemy of fulfillment.
Put it into practice
It's not authentic, it's been affected, and that's a whole thing. If I would have asked you in the beginning, how would you draw young people away from the faith? What I'm showing you is that's a part of it, but it's really more socially conditioning them where they don't want to hear it or are unwilling to give into it.
