The story behind the idea
That means there are three others that we can't discuss, at least not for a full 20-minute episode. If you have no conscience issues in listening to faith-based music, then I just really want to recommend that you give Josiah Queen a look. If not this song, the one we're talking about today, give me like 45 seconds apiece to talk to you about three others.
What stands out
Those two were leading candidates, but going into the concert, my favorite song of his is called Garden in Manhattan. The song opens on the crowded streets, all the people that I see want them to know the Jesus that I know. If I'm the closest thing to a Bible that they read, let the words they read be what you wrote.
Why it matters
At first, it sends this confusing signal to the brain, like, okay, altars more important than stages, but that's easy for you to say because you're up there. Which I think sometimes is the way the enemy tries to alter the way we think about people to discredit the power of how God is using them. What was really cool about this concert with Forrest Frank and Josiah Queen is they took plenty of time along the way to talk about their faith in the Lord.
A faithful way forward
I think a lot of us in Christ need to evaluate all of our pursuits and our goals and make sure that they are truly Christ-centered. Part of that is a healthy dose of humility, and so I've been singing this chorus over and over again.
Put it into practice
How willing should you be to put even the most precious things in your life right there for Him? What about in times of prominence and blessings and success and rising above?
