The story behind the idea
I had to travel and preach quite a bit, but I certainly couldn't cover for my voice. Several people heard the changed voice in the episodes and had reached out and said they were praying for me.
What stands out
We're unlikely to alter our own lives, even if we're right to lift up someone else for the benefit of the whole. We're also very unlikely in that case to associate ourselves with the problems that we see among God's people or in our families or whatever.
Why it matters
She doesn't understand that you don't get to where you want to be through self-interest. Jesus in Philippians 2 was exalted by God and will be worshipped by all, but he got there through self-sacrifice. Christians will be exalted and saved and live in glory, but they will do that by their contribution to Christ's body, to his people, and to reaching out to try to draw others into that fellowship. Look, a little counterbalance on this, I'm not saying she should wear a shirt that says it's you season or it's I don't matter season or it's put myself last season.
A faithful way forward
If you believe something is right, if you believe it's what God wants, then you need to do it. In fact, to him who knows or who is convicted of the right thing to do and doesn't do it, to him it becomes sin.
Put it into practice
You can change that in 52 days or less, or you could literally live your entire 90-year lifetime in yodge mode, but it will never make sense.
