The story behind the idea
If your marriage can service the will of God for your life, great, that's what it's designed to do. If your relationship with brothers and sisters in Christ can do that, precisely what God wants. Even if you are unmarried, you are useful to the Lord for the work which He has given you to do.
What stands out
Number two, my mission in life is to influence my family to love and serve God. Note, it's not just to make them happy or give them things or fulfill the American dream. I want them to know the Lord, to love him and serve him.
Why it matters
Because of the power of relationship and love, she pitched the idea and he said, That's a great idea, and then he sinned as well, and many consequences abounded. Deeply loved people within marriages have a habit of deciding the other person's ideas are amazing and amplifying them. When they're dumb and worldly and distracted, sometimes that ends up in disaster.
A faithful way forward
You need clarity on what the mission is, and then you can start discussing what we can do.
Put it into practice
