The story behind the idea
If he's looking at your life thinking, I need to somehow hide from them what God wants them to do or stop doing or keep doing, then he has no shot.
What stands out
Faith and trust and belief in God's great grace and love is foundational to our relationship with Him. The Word of God is very clear that that will bear out in the choices that we make to the best of our ability. It just doesn't seem to match up that we believe in God's great grace today, but we don't extend grace until tomorrow.
Why it matters
You can do all of that, be better positioned, then get back in church, then get back in the word, and be great for God. Maybe I would take you to Felix in Acts chapter 24, who had the opportunity for the gospel to be preached to him, which he now knows.
A faithful way forward
Fortunately, perhaps for you, there is not plenty of time for me to give you real life examples right now of people that I love very, very dearly and deeply who thought they had tons of time left and they don't. Others saw their life change in a moment's notice and now simply don't know what's going to happen next or how long they have. I would like to mention one to you because he is in my inner circle and one of my very closest friends, Tony Mock, has been diagnosed with cancer recently.
Put it into practice
You and I are to be the people who look at the perfect law of liberty so grateful to have it right in front of us. We are not forgetful or lazy hearers, but we are doers of the word today, urgently in his honor.
